How matching works

From shipment signal to free intro.

Globex is an AI matching product — a two-sided import marketplace: US demand matched to worldwide supply that already proves the lane. Ranked match from trade / shipment signals is the wedge; density and intros are the product. Not a trading company.

Buyer path

Match request → US-lane shortlist → Matched intro

Matching is the product. Bring your HS — any category we can match on US-lane signals. You do not browse a catalog — you submit a need, we shortlist from US-lane shipment signals, then make a free matched intro while we densify.

1

Match request

Buyer submits a free match request: HS code(s), optional product description, target origins if known, volume band. Draft form on this preview — nothing stored yet.

2

US-lane shortlist

We shortlist sellers who already appear on relevant US import lanes — priority origins Vietnam, India, Mexico — customs-proven / lane-proven, not storefront ads.

3

Matched intro

Warm intro with the right fit. Free while we densify. You talk samples, terms, and POs directly. No take-rate until density justifies it.

AI matching ≠ catalog · not a trading company. Globex ≠ EximAgent. Timing depends on density in your HS and origin cluster — we will not invent SLAs.

Seller mirror

How sellers get into the loop

Same network, other side. Create a free seller profile; we prioritize proven US-lane shippers for buyer match requests in your HS cluster.

  1. Create a free seller profile — HS, origin, US shipping history (or readiness).
  2. Lane proof first — factories already on (or able to prove) US lanes from VN / IN / MX get priority in your HS cluster.
  3. Warm match requests — routed when US buyers post in your cluster. No pay-to-rank storefront.

Straight answers

Common objections

  • “Is the match free?” Yes for match request + intro while we densify. Commission later only if density and closed trades justify it.
  • “How long does a shortlist take?” Depends on density in your HS and origin cluster. We will not invent day-count SLAs on this draft.
  • “Is this a catalog?” No. Matching on US-lane signals — not Alibaba-style SKU grids or pay-to-rank ads.

Economics

Why intros are free early

Acquisition-first: we need live buyers and live sellers before monetization. Commission % of closed value comes only after liquidity gates — not as an early wall.

Boundaries

What this is not

  • Not freight or customs brokerage

Not a freight forwarder or customs broker.

  • Not an open catalog

Not an Alibaba-style open catalog ranked by ads.

  • Not research-only

    Not a research-only trade-data login.

  • Not EximAgent

Start with your HS

Buyers: request a free match with your HS. Sellers: create a free profile if you already ship (or can prove) US lanes from priority origins.
